i need to RESUBMIT the colourways project! OMG! (just the tints and shades.)

haizzz! i was kinda shock when i got the results. anyway, i wasn't expecting a high mark as jolyn had told me her class didn't do well at allll!

hopefully after resubmitting i will get a pass!

i got another brief. it is soo coool. 

title: I see the music.

1. you will be given a set of songs. from that list, your group should choose one.

2. listen to the song over and over again. set repeat in your ipod and press play. i mean live the song dude. ( my brief actually says tat, dude! haha. )

3. take a sketch book and sketch while you listen. maybe what you sketch one day might be different from another day.

4. divide the song within the group. (break it by time or by musical section or by music and then by lyrics)

5. each member will represent their section of the song into exactly 20 frames prepared for projection.

WORK

was... badd!!

the restaurant was fully packed during lunch time. and my was my 1st day.

they expect me to learn everything during tat 5 minutes and go out to serve, take orders and clear the tables. And the customers love to ask questions, and i was like stunt... 

joyce: "sorry sir, i don know about that, i will ask and get back to you. sorry."

that is wat i say most of the time!

i don even know the menu. 

anddd the pay is jus 7 per hour. they are exploiting me! the minimum wage is 10 per hour! come on!!! that is y u shouldn't work for asians.

working for ang mos, you can at least get about 10 per hour! imagine how much you earn in a day! compared to me? haizz.

anyway. i will jus work there for the experience. then when i get another job, i will ditch them!

hahah.. hope i can get another job easily! and hope it is soonn!!

yesterday

after class. i came home and slept through the whole afternoon. i dreamt about me going shopping. shopping and more shopping.

When i woke up! 

i was just dying for a job. so i decide that i shall go all the way to bourke street to try out for a waitressing job in a singaporean restaurant since the notice has been there even since....

i have submitted my resumes to a few ice creams shops and fast food shops earlier on, 

coz i did not want to work in restaurants coz of my clumsiness and carelessness.

but i have nooo choice now. i cannot WAIT any longer. i wanntt to earn my own money!!!!

so yesterday i handed in my resume and someone called me this morning for a trial on sunday!

i was soooo happy at that moment. 

BUT noww.. come to think of it. i am scared!!! i m scared that i will mess up or break a plate or spill something. i cant even pour water into a cup steadily!

anyway, we'll see how it goes. 

colour madness and boring shapes.

as i was saying in my earlier post. simple is more. here it is.

task one.

to produce a solid shape solution that expresses a theme.

my theme is pain. simple rite? and it works rite?

task two.

colourways.

1. analogous and 1 complementary colour.

2. colourwheel
3. subtle colours
4. tints and shades.
this is my 2nd time doin this. coz my 1st was not creative at all, according to the lecturer. my 1st one was too simple. and he din like it. 

So simple or complicated? hmmm. i guess depends on the lecturer and the project.

haha.

simply simple.

here i am, CLASS! is boring yet enjoyable.
when the lecturer is talking art language to us, that is boring

but when we get to start brainstorming or working with hands, that is sooo fun and enjoyable.

now i finally understand the beauty of simplicity. i am a kind of person that loves to fill in empty spaces. so my work will always be filled with colours or shapes. my hands are veri itchy!!

but for this particular project. simplicity is required. (pictures will b uploaded soon).
and it turned out to be effective in the sense it does portray its meaning. and people liked it.

haha.. guess simplicity is the answer! simple is more!!! as vanessa always says.
